THE FACILITY
Located at 75 Pringle Way, Suite G-16 (Renown Center for Advanced Medicine), the SNCA Cath Lab facility consists of approximately 4700 square feet just a few steps from the canopied vehicle drive through (Entrance C). Patients can drive directly to the door of the facility.
Equipment installation and personnel training were completed, and operations began August 6, 2001. The facility is designed to allow patients the convenience of admission, prep, treatment, recovery and discharge all from a single convenient location.

THE EQUIPMENT
The SNCA Cath Lab purchased General Electric x-ray equipment that is especially designed for cardiac catheterization and related services. The new equipment includes the latest hardware and software upgrades that allow outstanding digital electronic image acquisition and replay. The SNCA Cath Lab also has GE/Marquette hemodynamic monitoring equipment, bi-phasic defibrillator, and other high-tech, state-of-the-art clinical equipment.

CLINICAL STAFF
The SNCA Cath Lab has employed several experienced and qualified clinical staff. All Registered Nurses and cardiovascular technicians are required to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications. The cardiovascular technicians have passed the appropriate examinations to be Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists ("RCIS"). Michael J. Newmark, M.D. serves as the Medical Director for the Cath Lab. Dr. Newmark is an interventional cardiologist who has practiced in Reno for 29 years. Peter Calderon, RCIS, moved to Reno from Maui to serve as the Cath Lab's Clinical Supervisor. This is the second cath lab Peter has started from "scratch". The first was the cath lab in Maui Memorial Medical Center.
MANAGING DIRECTOR/PART-OWNER
The SNCA Cath Lab is managed by John S. Carroll, Esquire, of Cardiac Partners, Inc. based in Tucson, Arizona. John is also a part-owner in the cath lab. John has developed and managed cardiac cath labs for physician owners for over 20 years. His legal and financial background is coupled with a practical management approach that has produced multiple successful cath labs.
