Tom Nylk, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Nylk was graduated from the Integrated College and Medical School, Medical University of Gdansk, Poland after which he served there as a Staff Physician in the Department of Cardiology for a period of five years.  He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Huron Hospital in the Cleveland Clinical Health Care System, Cleveland, Ohio and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Prior to joining Sierra Nevada Cardiology Associates in August 2007, Dr. Nylk served as a staff physician in the department of cardiology at the VA Medical Center at Mather, California (since July 2003).  He also served as an Associate Clinical Professor, Division of Cardiology, University of California-Davis, Sacramento, California (since April 2004).  Dr. Nylk is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine-Internal Medicine; American Board of Internal Medicine-Subspecialty in Cardiovascular Disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.  He has also passed the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Exam, an examination of special competency in cardiac pacing and cardioversion/defibrillation.  His professional interests include clinical cardiology, diagnostic catheterizations, heart rhythm management and echocardiography.
