Devang M. Desai, M.D., F.S.C.A.I.

Dr. Desai pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan prior to earning his Medical Degree from the J.J.M. Medical College, India. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan where he was voted “Resident of the Year” all three years of his residency. Dr. Desai completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, also in Detroit, where he served as Chief Fellow his third and final year. He stayed on a fourth year to complete fellowship training in coronary and peripheral interventional cardiology. Dr. Desai has presented his work at national meetings including the American College of Cardiology and Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics as well as publishing multiple original research articles, cases and letters in peer reviewed journals including American Journal of Cardiology, New England Journal of Medicine, Cardiology, and Catherterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. He also serves as a reviewer for Journal of Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Desai is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. He joined Sierra Nevada Cardiology Associates in August 2008 after completing his medical training and currently serves as the medical director of the Chest Pain Center at Renown Regional Medical Center.
