Sierra Nevada Cardiology Associates’ Echocardiography

And Nuclear Laboratories Granted Accreditation

Recently, Sierra Nevada Cardiology Associates (SNCA) was granted accreditation for both its’ echocardiography and nuclear laboratories. SNCA is now the first and only cardiology practice in Nevada to have been awarded accreditation for both diagnostic testing laboratories.

The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL) and the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Laboratories (ICANL) are independent, non-profit organizations who have developed accreditation programs that evaluate the quality and other critical elements of echocardiography and nuclear cardiology laboratories respectively. Although participation in the accreditation process is strictly voluntary, the accreditation status granted to SNCA signifies that their laboratories have been reviewed and recognized for their commitment to quality patient care and testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.

Sierra Nevada Cardiology Associates (SNCA) has set the standard for cardiovascular care in Northern Nevada and Eastern California since its inception. SNCA was formed in 1989 and started with 6 cardiologists. Today, SNCA has grown to 17 cardiologists and 4 mid-level providers working in two primary office locations in Reno and Carson City, two local clinic locations and ten outreach clinics to better serve you. Throughout its history, SNCA has provided comprehensive, cost-effective cardiovascular care and are respected for their aggressive diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart and vascular disease.
